The other day I took a Grit Assessment and began reading “Mastery” by Robert Greene which helped me identify my passion, and my uniqueness. I began thinking about my current employment and realized I wasn’t utilizing all my gifts and talents, that this is just a job. I don’t want another ‘job’ I want a position that I’m passionate about, that allows me to utilize my gift of creative writing. Which is why this position appealed to me. If my whole life has been an apprenticeship leading toward mastery, what is my passion? Does my passion choose me? Being gifted is different than passion and mastery. Passion is a hidden force, that haunting feeling, or what you are obsessed with. What is guiding you? Have you defrauded your vocation, that voice you have silenced over the years?
